Welcome to Writing in the Dark

My name is René Garcia, Jr. I'm a screenwriter, playwright, and good old-fashioned personal essayist. I've been published in several Southern California magazines, covering the movie industry beat and reviewing plays, bars, movies, and restaurants. I've interviewed the likes of Wes Craven, Cillian Murphy, and Tatyana Ali. visit my personal blog dedicated to non-fiction, fiction, poems, reviews, screenplays, stage plays, and rants. 10/15/06: The Location Reviews section is functioning correctly, plus some other minor site enhancements. Previously, I was creating new sections "outside" of the WordPress program. Now, just to make it easier on me in the long run, I've moved everything within the WP architecture.

10/15/06: The Movie Reviews section is up. Yeah, I know; I only have three reviews there. Hang tight; more are coming.

10/14/06: The Non-fiction, Fiction, and Poetry sections are up and running, with comments, to boot.
