Holy Shit! I'm a fucking Borg.
Posted On 12/22/2006 10:14:42 by Artificial_Heart
Ok, first, it's important that I set up the circumstances under which I came to this conclusion.
    1. Rachel has been working her ass off @ TJ's and there hasn't been any action in the film/theater industry that's offering me any work since the Bob Job.
    2. I've thusly been spending a lot of time @ home with the kids.
    3. Spike TV has been showing a Star Trek: Voyager Marathon
    4. I'm bored.
So, now that you know at least partly where I'm coming from, here is my rationale. The Borg, if you didn't know, are a fictional (obviously) alien race that is part biological and part technological. They can turn almost any other race into their own, with an injection like attack, within minutes. They are hive minded conquerers of a sort who seek to make all life in the galaxy like their own. The only expressed reason for this to be undesirable (other than the fact that it's not very attractive) is that it takes away one's individuality. There is a flaw in this logic however. I've never seen 2 Borg drones that look the same. They always look similar yes, but never the same. Is this because of their biological components? That wouldn't make sense, because it's the technological components that vary so much.
Ok, so I'm rambling. I'm sure you're wondering "But how can you be a Borg? They're still in the Delta Quadrant!" Well I'll tell you. It's the internet. The hive mind. Borg have been known on occasion to become seperated from the "collective" for any number of reasons. When this happens they become confused and apprehensive. I've been rooting myself into the internet so much that I don't like to get too far from my computer. Now that I'm wireless all the time, I don't really have to. It's a little disturbing. And these wierd green things coming out of my face don't help.
